Changing WordPress URLs Using phpMyAdmin

This article shows how to change a URL for a website built in WordPress using phpMyAdmin, such as for example, changing "http://example.com/blog" to "http://example.com".

Why Should I Change a WordPress URL?

Changing the location of your WordPress installation can be a somewhat challenging task. To do so, you need to find and work with the database name for your WordPress site. Overall, you will need to make a total of two URL changes inside of the database using phpMyAdmin.

NOTE: Changing the URL of your WordPress site will cause post images to not display if they are linked using a full image path.
