Primary Domain

A primary domain is one of the domains in your hosting account. Selecting a primary domain greatly simplifies your mail, ftp, and other settings. It also allows you to log into your hosting account using just your domain and domain password.

Find your primary domain

To see which domain is marked as your primary domain:

  1. Log into DomainCentral. Note that one of the domains in the list has a globe-like icon.

    This is your primary domain.
  2. You can also see your primary domain in the right column, under the Primary Domain section:

Set or change a Primary Domain

Selecting a primary domain greatly simplifies your mail, ftp, and other settings. It also allows you to log into your hosting account using just your domain and domain password.

To set the primary domain:

  1. Log into DomainCentral. Note that one of the domains in the list has a globe-like icon - this is your primary domain. 

  2. Your primary domain is also listed in the right column in DomainCentral:

  3. Click Edit next to the primary domain above, or click on the globe icon next to the primary domain in the domain list
  4. From the Primary Domain drop down, select the domain you wish to set as primary
  5. Click Update Primary Domain
