Domain Management: How to Lock or Unlock Multiple Domains

Locking your domain prevents it from being able to transfer to another company, and may restrict your ability to modify other settings on your domain (such as contact info, nameservers, and DNS settings). If you want to transfer your domain or need to make a change, you can unlock your domain. Otherwise, we recommend that you keep your domain locked.

Step by Step Walkthrough

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Go to Domain Central.
  3. Check the box next to each domain you want to modify.
  4. Click Modify Selected Domains.
  5. Select Lock/Unlock Domains.
  6. Click Lock Domains if you want to lock your domains.
  7. Click Unlock Domains if you want to unlock your domains.
